The Full Metal Cruise 2013 organized by TUI Cruises in cooperation with ICS, the protagonists behind the legendary Wacken Open Air, is the biggest heavy metal cruise in Europe. Sailing from and returning to Hamburg, from 5 to 12 May the cruise will be visiting ports including Amsterdam and Le Havre. Ultimately, the Full Metal Cruise will culminate in a spectacular rock show to be staged while entering into port on the Port of Hamburg’s anniversary.

The Elbe will be rocking at the next Port of Hamburg anniversary 2013. At a press conference in the newly opened Hard Rock Cafè in the Port of Hamburg, TUI Cruises presented the first Full Metal Cruise. In cooperation with ICS Festival Service GmbH, the organizers of Wacken Open Air, TUI Cruises have orchestrated the biggest metal cruise in Europe. Not only will it be rocking on board, but also in the ports-of-call along the cruise itinerary.

The cruise kicks off on 5 May 2013 from Hamburg aboard the MEIN SCHIFF 1. Ports-of-call include Le Havre and Amsterdam, where additional concerts will be held. The culmination of the cruise is scheduled for 12 May when the MEIN SCHIFF 1 returns for the 824th anniversary of the Port of Hamburg. “To mark the occasion we’ll be holding a rock show on board that will be heard throughout the port”, said Richard J. Vogel, CEO of TUI Cruises. The visitors on shore will also be rocking; for as was the case with the unparalleled Rockliner featuring Udo Lindenburg in 2011, hoards of fans are expected to turn out along the banks of the Elbe.

Metal aficionados on board and Hamburg residents along the Elbe will be revelling together in a superlative party experience!
